'Steel Magnolias' in rehersal

The Spanish Trail Playhouse (STP) is in full rehearsals for Robert Harling’s popular comedy/drama, “Steel Magnolias,” which opens a 3-day run in the Chipley High School Auditorium, 1545 Brickyard Road, on September 5, 2008.

STP President, Kevin Russell, recently cast local actresses in the following roles: Kelly Davis as Truvy Jones, Brenna Kneiss as Annelle Dupuy-Desoto, Danuta Jacob as Clairee Belcher, Courtney Corbin as Shelby Eatenton-Latcherie, Kari Rines as M’Lynn Eatenton, and Trish Payne as Ouiser Boudreaux. The crew includes: Connie Kowitz as Stage Manager, Garrett Brolund as Lighting Designer, Keith Watford, Caleb Howell, Ben Grande, and Aven Pitts as stagehands.

Tickets go on sale to the Spanish Trail Playhouse members on Monday, August 4, 2008. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Monday, August 11, 2008. Details on ticket prices and outlets to purchase them will be announced at a later date.
