Good news for gun owners

To the Editor:
I would like to address this letter to all the hand gun owners in Holmes County. You can thank President Bush for the landmark decision that upholds your Second Amendment right to own hand guns.
The 5-4 decision had in its majority opinion the following justices: Alieto, appointed by Pres. George W. Bush, Roberts appointed by Pres. George W. Bush, Thomas appointed by Pres George H.W. Bush, Scalia appointed by Pres. Ronald Reagan and Kennedy appointed by Pres. Ronald Reagan, all Republican presidents.
Had Al Gore been elected president in 2000 or John Kerry in 2004, you can imagine how this decision would have gone.
In all probability, there will be two or three justices appointed to the court by the next president. If for no other reason, we need to consider this when voting this November for our next president. Can you imagine what type of justices Barack Hussien Obama would appoint?
Remember, if we did not have the Second Amendment, all of the others would be worthless.
